Dear Northampton Staff and Families,
I’m excited to share another update with you about big improvements to our school through a comprehensive renovation. This wonderful renovation of our school is made possible because of our community’s support of our 2022 Bond, which allocated funds to rebuild Klein ISD’s older campuses like ours, which are 50+ years old.
I want to share my heartfelt thanks to our Klein ISD Board of Trustees for prioritizing safety for Northampton and all Klein ISD schools. As part of our modernizations, we will be installing additional security cameras and increasing carpool access for the safety of our school community. We look forward to these new renovations so that we may continue providing a strong educational foundation in an excellent and safe environment.
Please remember that our current school building will be under construction from Summer 2023 to Summer 2024, and we will relocate and use the District’s Flex School until our school is complete in Fall 2024. Our district is providing bus service to all students to be transported to our Flex School throughout the entire school year of 2023-24. Further details will be shared with you as soon as all the logistics have been discussed within our district. The brand new Flex School will be a completely secured school that includes a 6’ exterior fence and a full time Klein ISD Police Officer onsite for added security. Everything our current school has now regarding programs and resources will be fully available to our staff, students, and families next year at the Flex School. Our entire school year next year will be at the Flex School while Northampton is completely renovated, except for the new entrance, cafeteria and library. We will return to Northampton campus for the 2024-2025 school year.
Please enjoy the most current renderings of modernizations and security enhancements planned for Northampton as well as the Flex School. As additional renderings become available, as well as any logistical information to prepare for construction, I will certainly update all staff, students, and families.
