January is designated as Celebrate School Board Recognition Month. The theme for 2023 is Forward, Together. This annual designation helps build awareness of the elected school board's important role and their many contributions to the schools and community in which they live. Klein ISD was proud to honor and recognize our seven outstanding elected trustees at the January board meeting.

Trustee Dustin Creager (far right) introduced David Patton (center) as the distinguished alumnus for the month of January 2023. Patton is a proud product of Klein ISD, having attended both Benfer and Ehrhardt Elementary, Kleb Intermediate, and Klein High School. As a successful, licensed real estate broker, he has received numerous professional awards. Additionally, he actively gives back to the Klein community through the local PTO and booster clubs, charitable organizations, and as a Klein Volunteer Fire Department.

This month’s Stand Up for Texas Public Schools recognition honored Klein ISD Parent Teacher Organizations (PTOs) and Booster Club Presidents. The Klein ISD PTOs and Booster Clubs work tirelessly to support Klein ISD, our students, and educators through giving of their time, talent, and treasures for the benefit of the students and educators in Klein ISD. Klein ISD is grateful to the PTOs and Booster Clubs for their partnership and service to the district and for standing up for Texas Public Schools.
